Twelve years ago I moved from Wellington to Tangimoana, a small village close to the Manawatū coast and the Rangitīkei river. AIways interested in geology and natural history, I have been painting and photographing the local landscapes and wildlife.
Below are my three photographs taken at the Rangitīkei River estuary in 2010 that will be in the exhibition.
Since moving to the Manawatū I have exhibited at Club Q, Tangimoana Hall, Feilding Art Society, Mahara Gallery, EXMSS, and, after becoming involved in conservation projects with DoC, at the Palmerston North public library for Seaweek and at Te Manawa's Conservation and Manawatū Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibitions.

The picture on the left below is a giant print of 4 paintings of the river mouth of the Rangitīkei river from the same viewpoint in March of 4 consecutive years which charts the changes and cycles along the coast may be viewed in the Palmerston North Horizons Council chambers.
