Hilary Oxley: 54 year old lesbian activist [resting on her haunches], graduate of Bachelor of Design [Interiors] at WelTec, born near Te Whanganui-a-Tara [Wellington], came out in Tamaki Makarau [Auckland] at 20, now living in Tangimoana which is a small community [with many out lesbians] on the mouth of the Rangitīkei river. Interested in celebrating past activism and getting involved in current activism, her work is prompted by a disbelief in harmony or that any things are "meant to be", rather that everything is debatable and there is great value in learning to speak up, listen, and change.
