He mihi nui kau ana tenei kia koutou e Raurangatira ma.

He maha nga korero e tuatu i tena, heoi ano me kati.

One day my dear Ex Goddess challenged me to commit myself to spending more hours in my work as a proclaimed artist and so resistance was futile. No doubt this exquisite quality of hers amongst others would only entice my ego.

And so a new beginning it was consisting of oils, canvas and clay, my journey as an artist on a more serious note. Sublime Arts and Sculpture was my very first solo exhibit held at Thistle Hall, Wellington 2010 and a milestone it was indeed. My forte was to be portraits and this I continue throughout my work. I have always known clay to be a wonderful medium to work and express myself with. One day my ultimate goal is to create life size sculptures in the form of cement and others. Painting and Sculpturing are but a few of my passions, others are of photography, filming, editing, singing and children. It helps to be able to serenade well to a lover at bay in all facets of life.

I was once introduced to others as, "The poor artist type", I'm afraid this statement holds true for now. Well, I guess we can't have everything in life, not even the ones we love and hold dearly in our hearts each and every day. This is where the artist within is most challenged to the very limits, to turn that unrequited love to an energy just bursting to grow into something more beautiful.

I leave you my last few words:

no tengo lugar (I have no place)

no tengo lugar (I have no place)
y no tengo paisaje (I have no view or vista)
aun menos tengo patria (I have no homeland)
con mis dedos hago fugo (With my fingers, I can start a fire)
y con mi corazon te canto (With my heart, I sing to you)
las cuerdas de mi corazon lloran (And my heartstrings throb)
naci en alamo (I was born in Alamo -- a place in Spain)
naci en alamo
...
ay cuando cantan (When they sing)
y con tus dolores...(with your sorrow)
nuestras mujeres te echizan... (our women enchant you)

te amo
Ani.
