Kerry Duckmanton.

Kerry's work is inspired by the beauty of New Zealand's flora and fauna and she aims to capture her subjects realistically with an uncluttered composition.

Over the past 10 years, Kerry has been part of numerous exhibitions throughout the Wellington region and lists being a past winner of the Best Natural Flora Section at the Virginia Mary Rotary Art Show, and painting and selling a 4.8 by 2.2 metre mural during the 2008 Foxton Mural Festival as highlights. She is regularly commissioned and has had painting projects published in the Dominion Post's weekend supplement, Indulgence.

Kerry has been heavily involved in the promoting the arts in the Wellington region. In previous years she was one of the resident artists in action during the Spring Festivals and Rose Weeks at Wellington Botanic Garden, and also at Otari Wilton Bush. She helped establish the successful Kapiti Gallery, has run a school holiday art workshop at Zealandia, and was part of the organising committee of the Arts Encompassing 2010 exhibition at the Wellington Cathedral of St Pauls.
