My preferred mediums are acrylic, pastel and oils and I endeavour to use good quality materials to ensure my artwork will last for many years.
Inspiration is drawn from the New Zealand landscape, natural forms, in particular natural occurring patterns, and everyday familiar objects, including those from my childhood in the south of England. I am especially attracted to strong shapes and lines and rich and vibrant colour. The occasional introduction of an element of the unexpected is intended to further engage the viewer and share with them a sense of gentle, quirky humour.
